Springhill Suites by Marriott Hotel in Newark any good?

So I took everyone's advice and changed my flight so I wasn't taking a red eye and arrived the day before the cruise.  So now I am looking at hotels.

I am looking at Springhill Suites by Marriott in Newark (NJ) and was wondering if anyone has stayed there before?

If not is there a hotel you recommend?  (Not too expensive and preferably with a breakfast, free wifi and maybe an airport shuttle?)

We stayed at the Embassy Suites. They had an airport shuttle and a cruise port shuttle. But it wasn't cheap.
