The only things you can do up here are use the walking/jogging track, the hammocks and seating, play ping pong and some other games. I asked one of the staff testing the ropes course when it would open, and the said definitely not this cruise, but wouldn’t commit to next cruise either. Nothing happening around the Rollglider, or any of the younger kid’s stuff like slides or what I assume is the splash pad. Just closed signs.

Yes they have all 3.  I have been using them since we boarded on the 29th.  Honestly, my hair feels much drier than normal.  Of course that might be because we are not in Florida which is more humid.

It appears not. Others have already mentioned their disappointment. Just ping pong and oversized games.

I would infer that everything that is there is free and included.  There is nothing motorized like the Bolt roller coaster on Carnival that would incur an upcharge fee.

Yes and yes. Maybe things will change once the ship gets out of Europe. They definitely need to fix the ventilation since the smoke can be smelled in the forward stairway on deck 17.

The Rollglider coaster is motorized. Each trolly has its own motor controllable by the rider.

I love the casino…..but, can not deal with smoke.   Usually Princess has a smoking area in the casino.   I can cruise with no smoke?   Why wouldn’t I?    Hello Celebrity!   Very sad, I was getting pumped about Sun Princess.   Could be a deal breaker?   Pickelball is something that I can do without on a cruise.   If there, I go.   The casino with smoking permitted EVERYWHERE…..NO DEAL.

I’ve never been in any Princess Cruise, but I can have a good deal on Sun because our daughters will sail almost free. Our cruise life always is going to the show, then dinner, then have some cocktail (my older has cerebral palsy and that routine works well for her). I’ve seen in the pics of Patter you posted that shows are at 8 and 10 pm. And 2n seating is at 7:30. And, as Spaniards, no way we dine before the 8pm show. And 10 pm show is late for us.

 

Do you know if it’s possible to dine at MDR after the 8 pm show? Or at American Diner? I don’t even know what it is 😭

Yes, you can make your reservations for dinner after the 8:00 show.  We are onboard now, so happy to answer any questions.  For the MDR on Deck 7, you can make your reservations for the time that works for you.  Do it on the app as soon as reservations open up. MDR on Deck 6 is where they have the traditional times to eat and you have the same table every night.

The Americana Diner is the Main Dining room on Deck 8.  It has breakfast all day as well as burgers & fries, Mac & Cheese, Milk Shakes, Root Beer Floats -meals that are typical American fare.  There are no reservations for the Americana Diner.

100% agree with this. There are so many better places for this type of entertainment. We were sitting in the International Cafe one morning (on the Regal, not Sun), enjoying our coffee and ocean view, and a zumba class starts in the piazza. Not very peaceful. And in the evenings the piazza is just too crowded and loud. Crooners didn't even get used because of the noise in the piazza. Doesn't make sense to me.

You would think that after having the same problem with noise on all the other Royal class ships they would partition off the eating venue's  surrounding the Piazza. No one like to dine with all the background chatter & music blasting when eating.

Do not get the pancakes.  I had them the other night and barely ate them.  The server and asked if they were too much - Ha ha they are only about 4 or 5 inches round.  I said - "Honestly, those are the worst pancakes I have ever had in my life"  They were cold, dry, just awful.  I think they are frozen pancakes that they just microwave.
