Thanks for the heads up. we got up early and skipped breakfast in order to be first off this ship. Had to stand for two hours until 8:30 am when all the luggage was off loaded. No butler to escort us to the head of any line like on MSC. MSC has a line a mile long for steerage to get off and a separate exit for YC as well. We were the first to get to the one elevator down to street level. Felt sorry for the poor sods that came after us. Why people pay extra to be treated like this I will never know.
Fogfog Posted March 30 #277 Share Posted March 30 Curious, Are NCLs, Oceania and Regent loyalty programs all separate? Is there reciprocity like Celebrity and RCCL share?

Is there reciprocity like Celebrity and RCCL share? Perhaps someone else has the answer. A candy bar or plate of chocolate covered strawberries is trivial. When one is spending more for a suite, one cares little for a bottle of cheap wine. When one reaches a certain age in life, one no longer pinches pennies. If we want something we pay for it. When we pay for it we expect it to be as advertised. This cruise line is a sham.

Fogfog Posted March 30 #280 Share Posted March 30 Always love your quotes, humor and POV. Don't know what you did for your "day job" - yet am going to guess you and the Mrs. make great dinner companions and are fun conversationalists.

Treadle (Prince Regent's tailor): That, Sir Percy, is the last word in cuffs! Sir Percy: Oh lord I should hope so! For there should never be another like it! Prince Regent: Oh come now, it's not so bad. Treadle: You see Sir Percy, His Royal Highness approves! Sir Percy: My poor Treadle, His Royal Highness does nothing of the kind! He says it's "not so bad", and nothing in the world is so bad as something which is "not so bad"! 1

Because of you, we know this now as well. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on Regent as compared to (our favorite) MSC YC. We will not have to ever give them another thought. 🙂
Rare L1211 Posted March 31 #288 Share Posted March 31 Thank you for the review MOTS, I’m planning a more luxury cruise and Regent is off my list. Don’t see anything (other than your cabin- wow!!) terribly enticing. Appreciate the honest review!! 1

KeepCalmBearOn Posted April 1 #290 Share Posted April 1 My favorite Churchill quote is roughly: Lady Astor: “Mr. Churchill, if I were married to you, I’d put poison in your coffee.” Churchill: “Madame, if I were married to you, I’d drink it.”
