No More Reservations for Shows

As Rockstar there is priority if you arrive before doors open you go straight to the front of the line, so for most Red Room shows that means arriving 35 minutes before as doors open at 30minutes and for The Manor doors generally open 15 minutes before. Arrive before they open and there is a roped off section of queue just for Rockstars.

Although for a 6pm show in The Manor this evening we arrived 25 minutes before and doors had already opened with a decent number of seats still available.

Back from the SL Transatlantic and wanted to report back. Days 1-5 you needed to line up 45-35 minutes before doors opened. The lines for the Manor were wrapped around On The Rocks. The lines for The Red Room extended down the length of the Casino to Squid Ink. At day 6 the lines got shorter and you could safely get in line 25 minutes before doors opened. My thoughts on this is for longer itineraries a no reservation system works okay due to shows repeating but on 4-7 day itineraries I think a hybrid system where every sailor can reserve a show a maximum of once per show and line up after that would work best.

I didn't have a problem with the system for the shows on the TA.  I didn't like it a bit for the VHS or Zumba classes.  I don't want to get up, dressed for the class, line up 30+ minutes early, and maybe not get in.

That's so weird because I was on the 8-night from San Juan to Miami in March...it must have been right when they started this new no reservation for shows system and there were minimal to no lines for shows. I remember showing up less than 15 minutes prior to all shows and did not have a problem getting a seat! Sorry you experienced this on your sailing, I wonder if the difference is just the crowd preference, as I assume they would have just as many shows.

 

As a side question, are they still doing no reservations? I am going on a 4-night Valiant with new Virgins in July and want to make sure they see the shows without waiting in lines.

As of the beginning of May on Scarlet they were still doing the "first come, first served" system with lines.  I did not like standing in line 45 minutes before an event to hope to get in.

On Scarlet last month most people in line half hour before for popular shows like Duel Reality got in, the box office staff made sure every single seat was filled and moved some groups around to ensure there wasn’t gaps. For less popular stuff like Untitled there was no issue and a line didn’t form.
