DKNE Posted March 19 #1 Share Posted March 19 Booked our first MSC cruise for next month. > On our documents that we just booked, it says embarkation time 1:30pm, can we change that time when we do the online check in? > Can you buy a bottled water package only? > Are there formal nights on the cruise? 7 nights Seashore. > What is the dress code in the dining room at dinner. (dress shorts and sandles for men?) > Are you able to bring a case of pop or wine onboard (like other cruise lines) > We booked Fantastica, I read somewhere that you can select your dining time? Our agent has us for 5:30pm (early dining) Appreciate your answers 🙂
perakcruiser Posted March 19 #2 Share Posted March 19 > On our documents that we just booked, it says embarkation time 1:30pm, can we change that time when we do the online check in? - Yes > Can you buy a bottled water package only? - discontinued > Are there formal nights on the cruise? 7 nights Seashore - Yes, it is not formal, but "elegent" (not enforced) > What is the dress code in the dining room at dinner. (dress shorts and sandles for men?) - very limited "dress code", you need to look like an idiot to be refused > Are you able to bring a case of pop or wine onboard (like other cruise lines) - No. > We booked Fantastica, I read somewhere that you can select your dining time? Our agent has us for 5:30pm (early dining) - You (your agent) selected this. Can change on board probably.

Go with the clothes that are most comfortable for you. Simply look for respect towards other passengers in the clothes you wear, taking into account that they will come from very different places and cultures. 5- Absolutely no. MSC has a strong policy about not allowing to bring your own alcohol on board. 6- First day, just after embarkment, go to the restaurant and ask to maitre. With Fantastica you should be able to choose one timetable (which will be the same for the whole cruise)

FamilyCruiserUK Posted March 20 #5 Share Posted March 20 We just checked in for our world europe cruise begining of april. We were originally given a 2pm boarding time. On the online check in we could change it to 11 am. 👍
Rare Scottdalfonso Posted March 20 #6 Share Posted March 20 Just a heads up, Fantastica gives you the option to "request" a dining time, but I don't think it guarantees it.
