Anyone on Azura now?

Recommended Posts

Hi there! Going on Azura again shortly. Can anyone tell me what the Glass House is like now? Do they still do that lovely pork and chorizo dish? Also, can you still just drop by and eat, or do you have to book in advance?

TIA

Was on her in January and they have two menus that they alternate .

As for booking ,it is a walk in venue , having said that when it was busy they

took our cabin number and asked us to return 30 minutes later .

Don’t recall the pork dish when we were on in January but good choice of tapas, sharing platters etc

Be prepared to wait up to 30-45 minutes in the evening for a table although it’s worth it

Azura is just departing Cadiz on her way from Tenerife to Malta. Dined in Glass House yesterday. We drank a glass of Prosecco when we arrived at 8 and were served food at 9. We concluded that it is a much more pleasant wait then getting a freedom dining table for 2 at the same time. Glass House has a slightly different menu next week. Food is available at lunchtime with apparently much shorter wait. Cannot comment on Chicken and chorizo.

Dined in Glass House on Azura again last night (Friday). Now on menu B this week. No chicken and chorizo on menu. Haddock and chips was “off the menu” by the time we ordered, and the sea bass baked in banana leaf was lovely but missing banana.

Thanks for your reply. Did you have to book on Friday, or did you drop in for a drink, and then order food later? This is what we used to do, back in the early days, when we first went there. Looks like my favourite pork and chorizo dish is off the menu though; shame.

There is no booking required for Glass House on Azura, certainly not this cruise. Recognise that this is a wine bar that serves food, turn up, order a drink and be patient has worked for us twice. Do not arrive at 7.30 and demand immediate food.
