NCL shuttle to ship from Livorno

Our ship is staying overnight in Livorno. We are planning on enjoying the evening elsewhere and returning to Livorno by train around midnight. Should I be concerned about safety at night? Would it be difficult to get transportation from the Livorno station to the ship or to the piazza? How late does the NCL shuttle run from the piazza to the ship?

We’re looking for similar information as we haven’t done an overnight at a port before.  We are on the NCL Escape in May 2024 and will also be overnight in Livorno. We haven’t found much info regarding passengers returning to the ship during this stopover. I’ll share if I learn anything; I like knowing how much I can plan and what to expect before going on my vacation.

Have you tried posting on the NCL boards?  Maybe you can find someone there who has experience with a Livorno overnight.  I doubt that they run shuttles all night so it will be important to find out what time they stop.
