ThatJaiGirly Posted April 1 #1 Share Posted April 1 I understand USVI has banned non reef friendly sunscreens to protect the coral. What are some of your favorite reef friendly brands? Are there any difference between reef safe and regular sunscreen besides absence of certain chemicals? I'll be in St Thomas in January, just trying to plan ahead. red725 Posted April 6 #4 Share Posted April 6 So who enforces this sunscreen rule 🤔🤔 The police watching everyone 🤭
Ms411 Posted April 6 #5 Share Posted April 6 Red, it's only enforced in local stores. They can only sell reef safe sunscreen. More people are wearing rash guards to lessen use of sunscreen, and Ocean Surfari on both St Thomas and St John offer good prices on them. They are VERY popular with locals.
