Cape Liberty- Airport and Hotel options

Hello!! 

 

I am sure this question has been asked a million time… Which airport should we pick for cape liberty? And should we be arriving a day before embarkation? We are considering a Sept/Oct cruise and it’s scheduled to depart at 3:00 pm. 

 

If arriving a day earlier is recommended, any hotel suggestions?

On our cruises from Cape Liberty (as recently as this past October) we have flown in/out of EWR and opted to come in at least a day before staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Elizabeth NJ. It's a great pre-cruise location and has been completely refurbished. They also have a comp shuttle to the hotel from EWR.

Thanks for the advice! We will definitely look into this option!! Another question for you, if we are to choose a 11:00 am departure flight on disembarkation, do you think there is sufficient time to make it? we will be traveling with our 3 yrs old… lol

We always do self assist disembark and would have no trouble making this flight.

If you're an organized traveler with your 3yo your chances are good....if possible a bit later flight time might be better.
