Via Sands Hotel Barcelona

Has anyone stayed at this hotel? Can you recommend restaurants and things to do that are close by? We have one day before our cruise and looking for suggestions. Also is it easy to get to the Gothic Quarter? Thank you in advance.

It is not centrally located for sightseeing.  It's about a 40 minute walk from Plaza Catalunya. If you haven't reserved yet, take a look at hotels near the Plaza. Then you will be within easy walking distance of the Gothic Quarter, Ramblas and Passeig de Gracia.

If you google your hotel and check the result for a hotel booking website, (something like booking.comalthough there are others), you will see it on a map.  Usually on the left side of the map  there are little boxes you can tick, one for hotels, one for restaurants, one for things to see or do.  Tick those which you want and you should be able to see restaurants and things to do close to your hotel.

The restaurants you see nearby can be checked on eg Tripadvisor or other review sites to help you decide.

If it is Via SANTS hotel rather than Via SANDS hotel you will be handy for one of the main train stations although you would be unlikely to use a train on a one day visit.
