Transfer Cruise First certificate?

Recommended Posts

I have one $500 Cruise First and one $250 Cruise Next certificate/credit on my account.  When I cruise with my sister she likes to book it.  She also always calls Casinos At Sea hoping for a free cabin but is usually not successful.  She called about a cruise we want to do next year and CAS offered her a 20% discount on the cabin.  I would like to transfer my $500 CF credit to her so she can use that for the deposit.  Is this even necessary if my name/account will also be on the booking?

If you will be in the same cabin they will allow it to be used even if you are the 2nd person. The deposit doesn't need to come from passenger #1.

EXACTLY THIS!

As long as you are on the reservation with your correct Latitudes account number, you or an NCL rep will be able to grab your certificates and apply them to the booking.

Sometimes we have certificates in my name and sometimes they are in DW's name.  Once both of us are on the booking, either one of us, or the sales rep have been able to pull the certificates necessary.

Yep, this is true

It doesn’t matter what someone on CC tells you. Pick up the phone and call NCL

So long as you call NCL three to four times, average the responses, and decide which one seems most plausible. Then expect the ship to do something totally different than all the responses.

For what's its worth, we've called and also emailed our NCL rep, stating we would like our cruise next moved to this latitudes number and they've done it twice with no problems.

My sister called NCL (or maybe it was Casinos At Sea) and added me to the call.  I was able to use my Cruise First certificate even though my sister was the main person on the booking.  Much easier than trying to transfer it!

It's likely the transfer was made by the NCL rep, then the booking.  That's because when doing bookings, the CF or CN certs or discounts, to be applied, they need to show up for the person applying.

My BIL and my wife were just involved in doing a transfer and booking.  The NCL rep was able to do the transfer (no forms or signatures needed, just transferred), then can do the booking.
