jhenry1 Posted April 12 #1 Share Posted April 12 What are the latest hotels in Miami that Regent has been using for the pre night hotels.
NYC-London Posted April 12 #2 Share Posted April 12 The Biltmore Kimpton Epic Intercontinental Highly recommend forgoing the "included" transportation and take a taxi or uber over to the port, just make sure they take you to the "J" terminal - some drivers insist there are no ships in that terminal because they are accustomed to dropping passengers off at the terminals that service the big ships
NDOMA Posted April 12 #3 Share Posted April 12 I agree with NYC-London. Three weeks ago, Regent had us in the Biltmore for our pre-cruise overnight. We let Regent take our luggage, but we took an Uber to the ship. We found it much more convenient than the bus.
HappyTvlr Posted April 15 #4 Share Posted April 15 Just enjoyed a stay at the Biltmore. Our experience with the bus transfer went quite smoothly. We had an 11:30 which was the second bus. Our luggage was picked up from our room at 8 AM, we enjoyed breakfast, and promptly boarded the bus for an ontime departure. Drive was around 30 mins. Line for embarkation was short and we were onboard drinking champagne in no time. I was skeptical about what to expect based on some people having horrible experiences, but ours was great.
douginct Posted April 15 #5 Share Posted April 15 FWIW, we take the small hotel credit and book our own hotel. For our last two Regent cruises from Miami we stayed at the JW Marriott on Brickell for two nights. Nice property, smallish pool and in a great area with loads of restaurants. Elite Bonvoy members get a very nice buffet breakfast included. And it is a very short Uber or taxi ride to the pier. (Note - not the JW Marriott Marquis - that's a different property). The one time we stayed in the Regent supplied hotel we were quite dissatisfied.

We loved the views from our room, loved the room itself, enjoyed the breakfast, and found it easy to take an Uber from the hotel to the pier (it was maybe 5-8 minutes). 1
