great deal for two, but only one can travel

I received an email from Casino at Sea ( or whatever it's called) and the offer was for two people at a really good price.  I did a mock booking as a solo traveler, and of course the price was much more ( like 3 times more).  What happens if I only show up, and the other person dosen't.  Will they charge my onboard account the extra money, since I am now a solo? I doubt I will ever do something like that ( it feels like cheating the system), but just curious how the cruiseline handles a no show at the pier.

Were you mock booking directly from the e-mail or from the separately entered website? My recent experience is that I frequently (not always) cannot see the reduced price for a "Princess Players Advantage Offer" reflected on the main website after I save a cruise that I am interested in and try to look at it later. Likewise, I get radically different prices trying to book directly from the promotional e-mail versus calling "Casinos at Sea" versus calling my CVP. The lattermost usually is the best.

One of the advantages of casino offers seems to be that the solo supplement is often drastically reduced or disappears altogether. But finding, saving and then purchasing that good rate is tough, especially after the recently discussed website changes that removed the ability (for many, myself included) to filter for price for a specific number (one) of passengers. 

I wouldn't try booking a second person that you know isn't coming. Make some phone calls and get that "really good price" a different way. That's what I do, anyway.

Not to derail the thread, but I found a trick to still search for one passenger. If you reduce the size of your browser window down enough so that it flips to the "mobile" version of the site, you will then see two menus: Filters and Options. Under the Options menu, you should see the option for 1 passenger. Once you have selected that, you can make your browser big again and the selection will "stick."

If you have a CVP check with them they can book these cruise deals and you should get the same deal as a solo. (In my experience but who knows for sure)
