Our Carnival Vista B2B - Havana Style - (with pics!) - 4/14/24

I fell behind here! On our sea day, we had breakfast at the buffet, walked a couple miles and found a duck on our bed.

 

 

Then we did some margarita research at the Blue Iguana Tequila Bar. Felix makes the best ones!

 

 

 

 

This guy really likes Carnival!

 

 

After a few margaritas, it was time for a siesta! Then according to my pictures it appears we had Guy's burgers for dinner.

 

 

We went to the lobby bar but it was packed so we sat in chairs nearby and watched some of the happenings there.

 

 

Still couldn't get seats at Melissa's bar so we headed for Ocean Plaza to see Setyo but she was on break. The Kids of the Kingdom (Vista Band) were getting ready to play but we decided to hit the Havana Bar.

 

 

I think I took this picture of the band a short time before Patti came in. By the time she arrived, there were a lot more people there including the two little girls who were living their best lives on the dance floor.

 

 

Waiting for refills about the time Jeff arrived. 

 

 

Dinner #2 then bedtime!

Glad Patti's surgery went well. Great food porn and drink photo's.  It was even hot when I was in Aurba back in November 2016 on the Carribean Princess.

It was so hot that after only walking a few blocks I needed to find a Husband Daycare. We came upon the Paddock which fit the bill perfectly! Patti left me at the bar to drink some ice cold Balashi beers. Here are some Paddock views…..

As Patti is making her way back to the Paddock, she passes Lucy’s, which is another popular Bar & Restaurant…..

 

 

 

 

 

Patti joins me at the Paddock and has a Malibu bay breeze. Afterwards, we head back to the ship…..

When we got back to the terminal, Patti decided that she wanted to check out the stores just outside the gates. I made my way back to the ship getting back on board just after 4pm…..

Patti is back on board and comes back to the cabin to join me in cooling off. Around 6pm I went back to the Havana Area for a swim and to watch the sunset. Patti joins me for the sunset, but with clouds on the horizon it’s not very good……

 

 

 

 

We then went to the Deli for our dinner. Patti had a grilled ham & cheese, and I had a couple of chili dogs and fries……

 

 

We grabbed some ice cream and made our way back to the cabin. The heat took a lot out of us today!

 

Today’s Cheers count: Patti = 2, Jeff = 3. For the day (-7), for the cruise (+19).

 

Coming up next: Our day in Bonaire and another hot day!

Good morning!  I am sorry if this has already been answered, but does that include the spiked coffees?  I love the chocolate lovers coffee and usually get one mid-afternoon and one after dinner.  Thanks so much!

Day # 11 - (April 24th) – Kralendijk, Bonaire - (8am – 4pm). 

 

We were up at 7am to another sunny and very hot day. Like Aruba, we don’t have any special plans today, so we will get off the ship to explore after the initial rush is over…..

 

 

Looking at the bow and aft cameras on the television, we can see that the Carnival Vista is pulling into Kralendijk, Bonaire……

 

 

 

 

Here are today’s “Fun Times”………

 

 

 

As usual, I made my way to the Ocean Plaza Bar for my morning coffee from Setyo, and then back to the cabin to work on pictures. Patti heads up to the open decks to get some shots of Kralendijk from the ship……

We were sitting at the bar in Lucy's when Patti took that picture - she must have been in stealth mode, we didn't see her. 😂

I know you didn't go on this cruise, but how do you normally book the Barcelo Aruba day pass? I don't remember seeing it as an option through Carnival. My hubby and I will be in Aruba in September (Horizon out of Miami) and we love doing all inclusive days. We haven't been to Aruba before.
