Did people find it easy to get the benefit as canadians? Interested in possibly getting it as sail princess.

Why would it be hard?
never had a problem with RCL/ Celebrity

They've outsourced the processing of requests to Stockperks. Just download their app and follow the instructions. We got our benefit approved in a couple of days. If anything for me it seems a better process than RCL/X.

No problem for me with NCL and there’s few conditions to apply the benefit. It’s on my cruise booking in less than a week. CCL doesn’t issue OBC if you book with special rates with that brand name cruises. So you may want to read more of the official details, especially if you plan to sail a subsidiary line. It may be better to invest in the space you plan to travel, if that’s available.

Thank you! Thinking of pulling the trigger and buying the stock. Wish i had bought it during covid.

Well, the price has dropped about $4 over the last couple of months, so while it isn't COVID-level pricing, it's not too bad.

We bought our 100 shares of CCL years ago and apply it for every Princess trip we take. A great program. As previously mentioned, they recently outsourced the management called Stockperks, and it is to them that you send your information. Right now, it is done through a phone app, but Stockperks did mention that they were working on a web-based version as well. NOTE: many people report being up in arms over the intrusive amount of personal information that they claim Stockperks demands from the user when submitting the application. That turns out to be incorrect and unnecessary. Many of us who use it have successfully submitted our applications and received our OBC without submitting anything more than the minimum redacted brokerage information, cruise details etc. Just be careful when using the app and you will have your OBC very quickly.

It's never been difficult for me (as a Canadian) to get the shareholders' on-board-credit (OBC) benefit. If a Canadian owns 100 shares of CCL, they qualify for the OBC.

However, my recent experience using Stockperks, the new 3rd party app that Princess now uses to screen and approve the OBC, hasn't been smooth.  The app can be pretty glitchy. Different from Americans, who have different ways to supply their info to Stockperks, Canadians have only one option right now -- to submit PDFs of redacted stock statements.  The app seems to struggle at times with the PDFs.

The only issue I have had as a Canadian is when sailing on a casino promotion.  It seems to be hit and miss for approval across the board though, not just as a Canadian.
For our last cruise I submitted (before Stockperks) and was denied.  My husband resubmitted and was approved.
