If it makes you feel any better, last month, they were working on oasis too. Somehow, we managed to push through and still have a fabulous time.

I'm definitely not letting the few niggles get to me. The beverage package helps!

Now I just need the casino to be kind to me this evening

I was on the TA and it wasn’t nice to me.  I hope you have better luck.

I watched her leave Miami last month, she's in desperate need of a paint!

They did a lot of painting on the way to Spain, my wife though the smell was annoying sometime.

It's a shame the water slide was not functional, my kids wanted to try that one badly.

well, she is 15 years old, guess it's time.

A good point.  All about perspective. Our first RC trip was on the Voyager in 2011 - ship was 12 years old.

Welcome to CC.

That can happen on any sailing.

Filled their survey yesterday, kind of remind me of all the little things that was not right. I personally will not go back on the Oasis unless they refurbish it. They are too much focused on maximizing profit, than having the boat off for a week to fix it.

Almost all seats in the promenade were very uncomfortable. I'm talking sagged seating (as pictured). They were fixing deck chairs in the last 3-4 days, grinding metal (with grinders) in some closed section on the top. Very pleasant noise.

OP already posted the broken slide and whirlpool(s?) 2 I think

On floor 6, the running track has wooden chairs at the end to sit and watch sunset/sunrise, they were all broken except 2-3 (like 12-14 broken).

I have kids, in the arcades I would say 50% (12-14 machines out of 30 ish) were out of order or broken.

The football and basketballs machines by the broadwalk were all broken (6 or 7 of them), the one not out of order, took out money and was not working, the foozball table there was also broken.

The chess pieces on the tables in central park were also broken.

Unrelated to "maintenance" I cannot tell you amount of pee on the ground at the public washroom urinals in the men section, it was crazy, I never got one that was clean. It was hard to put my feet around. Every time of the day, I never saw one clean floor in all my trip.

On Icon last month, every time I went into public restroom there was an attendant. there was constant cleaning. Have they put all their effort into Icon at the expense of the older ships?

It's much more likely (though no way to really confirm) that RCL has very likely ensured that Icon is very well staffed. How they do that is up to them, but I wonder if they moved some staff from their fleet to make sure Icon has enough.

Don't book anything older than Odyssey.

Noted, will know for future cruises, going on MSC Seascape in September, looking forward to see the difference.

As for the staff, I assume they were cleaning the washroom like once in the morning. maybe they were short of personal.

Lots of drilling in the solarium and central park. They were re assembling one of the water slides looks like a big job

Not very relaxing in these areas at all. I understand they need maintenance but we were docked all day and they thought the best time to restart all this was in the afternoon just as everyone is getting back in board

Sone areas of the ship look v tatty. The windows everywhere are dirty, My room has what looks like blood stains on the curtain and it's ripped with holes in it. The vent in the bathroom is like a 747 engine it's so loud.

I'd expect more from a 3 star hotel. This ship is a bit of a rust bucket.
