Quick question about bidding for an upgrade

My husband and I booked an inside cabin with a casino free interior offer. Usually we upgrade to a balcony but this time I wanted to try the bidding system and save $$$

I never bid for an upgrade before.  We got the upgrade offer email yesterday and we placed a few bids on different categories of balconies. 
I’m am wondering how long do we have to wait to hear back. I know that our cruise has many balconies and mini suites still available.
What were your wait times?

It could be anywhere from a week to right up until your cruise.

On our upcoming cruise we got an approval 4 weeks before the cruise. Our cruise is now fully sold out.

 

In the past - much closer to the sailing.
