Potato chips are available on some ships via room service.

The chips came on a regular plate with food cover.

 

On the Sapphire last year for example.

 

The Regal also had this food option on the ordering menu last year, but when ordering it they called back from the kitchen and said they don't have it and if I would like fries instead.

 

On the Royal this year, there were no potato chips on the menu to order.

Correct, but I recommend NOT opening the container until you get back onboard.  YMMV with bringing on open containers of food - even pseudo food like chips.

Meant tortilla chips and quacamole.  Potato chips were available.

Tortilla chips and quacamole were on our room service menu for a charge.
