Visual guide to App Check In to select boarding/check in time

Recommended Posts

I'd also like to see something on the desktop/laptop computer check in process. That's my preferred way for doing anything....don't like having to use the phone or tablet apps....maybe my fingers are too fat and my eyesight too bad?😉

Thank you so much for this information, but I wish I had known all of this weeks ago. I didn't  realize that the check-in time had become a lottery! I haven't cruised with RCCL since before COVID and all this is new to me. So, I didn't know I had to stay up half the night before the lottery opened in order to get an early arrival time. My DD and I are sailing on the Wonder OTS on Aug 11th and we just did our check-in yesterday and the earliest arrival time was 2:00 PM. My issue is that I am a Diamond C&A member and we are staying in a suite. Both of those are supposed give us priority boarding. How can I get our arrival time changed so that we can board with the Suites guests? I sent a message through the app to RCCL and got an immediate auto response saying that someone would contact me soon, but if they don't, I want to call and talk with someone. How can I contact them about this issue? Thanks for you suggestions.

I just got off of the phone with RCCL and the nice young man told me that because we are in a suite, we can get there around 10:30 AM no matter what time is on our boarding pass. Then, we will be sent to the suites lounge to await boarding. I was so relieved.

I finally got a response to the message I sent them last night and it was different from what the rep told me on the phone this morning. He (the phone rep) told me that I can get there no earlier than 10:30 AM and they would let me in through the suites line. Then, this afternoon, I got an email response to the message I had sent last night. It said that, because we are staying in a suite, I am welcome to arrive one hour prior to my 2:00 PM arrival time. This doesn't say much for Royal's appreciation to their loyal customers. So, I'm going with what the guy told me on the phone this morning. This whole lottery system has almost completely removed one of the main perks that they used to stress to cruisers who fork out the extra money to pay for a suite.

I think the emailed response is incorrect.

From their own FAQ page:

What are the benefits of the Royal Caribbean Suites program?

Answer:

All suites in the Royal Caribbean Suites program have access to certain benefits. Our Junior Suites, Grand Suites, Ocean View/ Panoramic (No Balcony) Suites, and Owner’s Suites all receive priority boarding, and our Royal Suite and Villa Suite guests are escorted onboard by an officer.
