As it's been a while since I've been down to Mexico, what money should I take? Do most of the vendors take US dollar? Pesos only? Credit Cards in larger shops? On the Star 4/18. Thanks to those who help!:)

US Dollars are accepted in almost all locations. Credit cards are accepted in the major shops, but be sure to notify your CC company before you leave so they don't question the charges while your away.

Yes, you can cash travelers checks in the casino or at the purser's desk. No charge.

You can also get cash from the casino cage and it is added to your on board account, and treated like a puchase on your credit card (no cash advance fees that way). They allow you to get $2000 per day per cabin...

I think your question has been answered pretty well, but may I add just one thing; do not expect to find lots of great bargains in Mexico. Silver is still a good buy if you watch for quality and of course some liquor, but basically you will be buying just sourveniors, nothing of great value. Some like to buy loose gems, I am not an expert so don't know if they are a good deal. NMNita
