Gratuity

Recommended Posts

Hi. We are looking to book a cruise with NCL.

The free at sea package is coming in at £399 pp , with pre paid gratuities another £551. My question is, do we still have to pay gratuities of 20% for bar and restaurant staff.

I just want to understand what extras are added before committing myself.

Thanks in advance.

No, you have prepaid. You will also note that the bartender will not give you a paper receipt to sign. So there is no "nudge" line on the receipt to add a tip.

If you want to recognize especially noteworthy crew members note their names, pass by guest services, get "hero cards," and fill them out and turn them in. NCL has an incentive program to reward crew who provide notable service.
