Settled on Becco Osteria for dinner. Great reviews, tucked away in a little alleyway. People are wearing jackets and scarves but the mid sixties feels like heaven to me

On our entire 15 days in Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, France, and the UK last summer we never touched a single Euro. One day in, the same holds true. Honestly, everything we’ve purchased has been Apple Pay thus far. Haven’t even touched my physical card.

Everything was just fantastic. Service was spot on and friendly. Atmosphere was incredible. I think we’re in love. 
 

 

Pricier than Spain and Portugal, but still a spectacular deal compared to what this same night out would cost in Dallas.

One night in, and I really feel like this town is a hidden gem. It’s so picturesque and clean and laid back and friendly. Not remotely overrun by tourists, out of the way waaaaay to the east near the Slovenian border. People go to Rome, Florence, Venice… no one comes to Trieste. Take advantage of that while you can, because this place is wonderful.
