Rare TxTeach79 Posted June 20 Author #1727 Share Posted June 20 Chaos just set in up front when AC units started dripping on the first few rows. We’ve stopped now while people move around

Rare TxTeach79 Posted June 20 Author #1733 Share Posted June 20 Was about 40 mins via bus to Oia. I almost dozed off once. But we made it. We have an hour fifteen free here.
Rare TxTeach79 Posted June 20 Author #1734 Share Posted June 20 Another warning to watch your pockets and yelling at a teenage girl to get her phone out of her pocket. Not the most welcoming!
Rare TxTeach79 Posted June 20 Author #1735 Share Posted June 20 Tons of buses here. Logging license plate for posterity. We aren’t allowed any water on the bus either.

Rare TxTeach79 Posted June 20 Author #1740 Share Posted June 20 Followed the guide’s instructions to get the dome pics…. I managed these but between the heat and crowds that’s all I wanted to muster. B stayed back and didn’t come this way, probably the right call

Rare TxTeach79 Posted June 20 Author #1743 Share Posted June 20 Headed back to the bus about 20 mins early. Oia is like if Disney World was just as crowded and hot as it’s ever been in the summer but there aren’t any rides and all the vendors are very aggressive. I did it, I’ve seen it, it’s off my list, I’ll never be back. To each their own, but I enjoyed this more on YouTube. 22 2
Etta1213 Posted June 20 #1744 Share Posted June 20 Am wondering if there's an "ideal time" of year for this port. Maybe it's always super crowded?

Maybe it's always super crowded? considering how many times we were “warned” on the ship in the last 24 hours, I’d say that’s fair. Live and learn! We have two more stops. Maybe they’ll be better
Rare TxTeach79 Posted June 20 Author #1746 Share Posted June 20 The bus is starting to fill in with our Spanish speaking crew. Many of whom are older. It’s ten minutes until we roll out. You’d think they’d turn the thing on and run the AC. Nothing. People are restless.
Rare TxTeach79 Posted June 20 Author #1747 Share Posted June 20 Okay the squeaky Spanish wheels got it done. AC on! 8

They were small but delicious. Had a couple breakfasts in main dining room and a couple in The Local but my preference was the Garden Cafe for cinnamon roll, oatmeal, two sausage links, hard boiled egg and some sort of fruit. Breakfast of champions.
