grannyshell Posted June 11 #1 Share Posted June 11 We're leaving from BCN tomorrow on Oosterdam and our boarding passes still say "Boarding Begins at 12:00pm". There is no assigned boarding time. I assume this means all 2,000 passengers will attempt to board precisely at the same time. In your experience in a similar situation, how early would you arrive to be toward the front of the line? Iafarmer Posted June 11 #4 Share Posted June 11 We're on the Noordam & ours also says boarding at noon; I was wondering the same thing. So thanks; we'll try to get there by
WisRiver Posted June 11 #5 Share Posted June 11 We boarded the. Oosterdam last fall in Barcelona. We had to be out of our apartment by 11. We took an Uber to the cruise terminal expecting we would have to wait. We arrived at about 11:30 AM. We are 5* mariners. However the lines were not long for people without priority boarding. I do not think there will not be 2000 people boarding. On our trip fewer than new 1,000 passengers boarded. Lots of passengers were continuing on.
grannyshell Posted June 11 Author #6 Share Posted June 11 Yes, we have to be out of our AirBNB by 11 as well so we're just going to mosey down the hill and get in line.
grannyshell Posted June 14 Author #7 Share Posted June 14 Here’s how things turned out: left our Air BnB at 10:30, took a taxi from Placa Catalunya, arrived at the pier at 11:15, walked quickly through all the steps to board with no lines whatsoever and walked straight onto to the ship. We were directed to the Lido (elevators were blocked by staff) as it was so early. So my advice is to get there well before 11:30.
