Has anyone stayed in this room? It kind of looks like a balcony? Any drawbacks? Thought I put it on hold but apparently I booked it.

Added: 12 day cruise, 2 sea days / 10 ports

I thought Princess has removed you being able to place holds on the Princess.com site, but believe Travel agents can still do.

We also have an upcoming cruise on the Sapphire and was considering one of those forward cabins.  They are listed as deluxe ocean view but they are actually balcony's with restrictions. They say the sliding balcony doors can only be opened while in port and they have no furniture.  Too much head on wind.  Someone who has recently been in one of these rooms might give better review. While these cabins are cheaper, we decided to get a regular balcony.  32 day cruise with 22 sea days, we didn't want to take the chance we couldn't open our balcony doors.  Plus at the very front of the ship, it would be more porpoise bouncing.

Did you decide to stick with it?  When is the cruise?

I'm leaving it booked for now. But I've got time to find out if Koda will have a babysitter as it's August 2026 to the Baltics

I also had posted the question to my CVP who called back. She explained that these cabins (C100-C105, B100-B105) used to be classified as BW (obstructed balcony) but there were so many complaints about the balcony not being usable at sea that they were reclassified obstructed outside. Works for me!!

Ah! Ok we sail in January. We are directly below on Dolphin.  The Baltics are wonderful. Hope you get your sitter situation worked out.
