Pizaz Posted June 26 #1 Share Posted June 26 Hey all, Never done a B2B cruise with a room change and wanted some suggestions. Typically, at the end of the Cruise I tip Butler/Asst. Butler, Maître D, Bartenders, Waiter/Asst, Casino Staff, and various favorite One Deck Pool Staff. This upcoming trip in August is 11-Day Norway Cruise in Deluxe Suite then 10-Day Iceland in Deluxe Grand Suite. I am conflicted on whether to tip Butler/Asst. due to room change then all staff plus new room's Butler/Asst. at the end or whether I tip all for both the 10 and 11 day portions. This isn't for an argument on tipping but suggestion on what others have done in similar B2B's. Thanks in advance!
Até Posted June 26 #2 Share Posted June 26 When I book as two cruises with different cabins I tip at the end of each segment. It's a good possibility you will get different cabin and dining personnel. I rarely use the concierge and thus usually don't tip them much so that person might be an exception for me to tip at the end. There's no right or wrong. 1
Rare DaKahuna Posted June 27 #3 Share Posted June 27 Even when we do not change rooms, We tip at the end of each cruise. On our next cruise we are doing a B2B and we were unable to get the same room but we have rooms next door to each other so I a pretty sure our Butler and stateroom attendant will be the same. All the rest of the crew I am sure will be the same as well. 1
Pizaz Posted June 27 Author #4 Share Posted June 27 Thank you both for the amazing feedback. I will be tipping at the end of each cruise iteration now. Much appreciated!
Rare GPPhilly Posted June 27 #5 Share Posted June 27 We experienced something on our last YC cruise that we have not before. We were on a 12 night cruise and around the 3rd day we were told that our junior butler would be moving to a different set of rooms and a new junior would be with us for the rest of the cruise. We loved the junior butler even if it was 3 days he was excellent. We chose to tip him the day he left us. He really was excellent. The person that replaced him was good but not the same standard of cleaning as the old junior did.
