Sizzlechest Posted June 30 #1 Share Posted June 30 I scheduled a Specialty Dining reservation for Chops on Day 5, but now that the menus have been released, I want to change it to Day 1. I called RCL and they said they couldn't move it, but they can cancel and rebook it. The problem is that the price is higher now than before. The rep isn't sure, but they think if I wait until I board to move it then, it still would be a cancellation/rebook but at the ship price!

We had an itinerary change last October that flipped our sea/port days 1-2 days before we set sail and simply went to a restaurant once onboard and had them moved. My original charges remained. On another occasion we moved our reservation on the day of the meal to a little earlier or later (I forget)... same deal.

The whole point of purchasing specialty dining individually is that you can actually make a reservation before you board and avoid the crush of dining package folks all trying to make reservations. Looks like I still have to endure that. Luckily, it's a smaller ship with few specialty dining options, so maybe it won't be so bad.

I took my first D+ cruise earlier this month and went straight to a promenade kiosk to book a BOGO dinner. There was only one person ahead of me. When I moved those reservations I mentioned before last October, we went to Giovanni's and it was also just a short wait. firefly333 Posted June 30 #5 Share Posted June 30 If there is space they can move to night 1. Lots of bogo that might too, so do it asap when you board. Cant move it ahead of time.
