katz Posted July 8 #1 Share Posted July 8 What is or is there a limit on the amount of luggage that can be taken on a pre or post cruise? We have a pre-cruise all on coaches and post that involves a short flight. We leave in a week and have not received any information on luggage restrictions or storage while we are on these tours. Thank you for your help.
Rare ronrick1943 Posted July 8 #2 Share Posted July 8 I don't know if they have a restriction, but we've taken 2 very large, 2 medium and 2 carry on with 5 full cases of wine.
goletans Posted July 8 #3 Share Posted July 8 It depends on the tour. This is from our January pre-cruise tour to the Taj Mahal: Luggage: Regardless of what class of service you fly into Delhi, a maximum of one suitcase per person (15kg/33 lbs) and one carry-on (7 kg/15 lbs) is permitted free of charge on the internal flight from Delhi to Mumbai; however, should you require it, included in the cost of the program is a train transfer of excess luggage between Delhi and Mumbai. You will be re-united with any transferred luggage when you embark the ship.

Rare pinotlover Posted July 8 #5 Share Posted July 8 (edited) We have done at least three pre/post land tours with Oceania involving air. The three were Iguazu Falls, Kapadoccia (sp?); and Angor Watt . All three had significant luggage restrictions for the flight portion. Basically, a carry on for the 2-3 days. All of the above had major hotels that accommodated the arrival evening in the major cities and which stored the extra (excess) luggage until return back to the hotel. Always professionally handled and convenient. There is no need, nor are people allowed to drag along massive suitcases, packed for extended cruises, on small regional airlines for a 2-3 day excursion. Oceania has it set up with the hotel Concierges. Edited July 8 by pinotlover
