Marriott hotels Barcelona

Recommended Posts

Marriott no longer uses categories per se. When in the past, the Courtyard EWR might have been a category 4 hotel, it's now just whatever amount of points yield management assigns.   Their points redemptions are now dynamic pricing so you'll have to just go plug in Barcelona, dates and use rewards points and see what the various costs are.  And they change often even for the same hotels and dates. They may still have "loose" categories but to look for a list of what hotels are what categories? Not going to happen.

I'd look at the AC brand but then again, it depends on location and time of your stay.

FWIW, we booked a September post cruise stay at the AC Hotel Barcelona Forum.

It's not really central but it's close to a metro line that should get us to thick of things in about 20mins.  Worst case, we can always jump in a taxi or ride hailing which I'm estimating should cost less than 10e each direction (??).

Since we've been to Barcelona a few time before, we didn't feel we needed to stay in the heart of it so we decided to save a few points by being a bit further out.

We've only stayed at an AC hotel once before in Bologna and thought it was ok; modern.  Liked it enough to book the brand again.

We booked the AC Barcelona for our November cruise.   Will only be there 1cday. Hopefully will find someplace for supper.  Need to buy a few bottles of wine for cruise.   Looks like a large mall across the street.

We use Marriott all the time. The Renaissance Barcelona Hotel is in a great location. Sometimes there are a lot of groups but that did not bother us. We got great service and it is in walking distance of most of the major sites. We also love the Cotton House Hotel, we are booked for 3 nights in August pre cruise. I would suggest you ask the Concierge at the hotel for recommendations for dinner. There are lots of Taps bars and wine shops. Also, if this is your first visit to Barcelona, don't rush to get on the ship. Barcelona is lovely.

we stayed at Le Meridian post cruise last year. Great location right off Las Ramblas. Easy to walk everywhere. Really enjoyed the hotel and the vibe of the area. They also had a wonderful champagne brunch every morning.
