Elite Cruise Prize Drawings at night

I am going on my first Elite Casino offer cruise in September. I was wondering what prizes and how many people get drawn at the nightly gathering. I read where the Ultra cruise participants are guaranteed to win something, but Elite only a few are drawn to play a game. Do you have to have your card in a machine to be eligible for name being drawn? I am just trying to decide whether it is worth going to the casino at 11pm every night. Thanks in advance for any information.

Usually three winners are chosen, sometimes more.  I think the rule is you need a hundred points, then you are in all of the drawings, whether you are present or not. If the person who is called isn’t there, they keep calling until they find someone. 
 

The most I have won on an Elite drawing was $500. Always wanted to play Matilda and I finally got picked.  
 

I do wish they would switch it to your card has to be in a machine to be eligible. It isn’t much fun when they have to keep calling names, and waiting.

I won 'Fill My Bag'.  They called five or six players, and everyone won a nice Carnival logo bag, a blanket and I think $50.  Than one person gets eliminated, and everyone else get another prize, two stainless steel insulated travel cups, a bottle of champagne and $100 and another player is eliminated.   Everyone left gets another prize, waterproof Bluetooth speakers, some other small item and $150.  It goes on until only one player is left.  I was the the last one standing, winning $650 in free play, a bottle of champagne,  a bottle of wine, and a bunch of Carnival swag.
