Beach Day with Kids

Lots of great info on this forum but hoping for some specific recommendation for young kids!

 

We are visiting just after Christmas for a 8 hour day.  Dickinson Bay Beach (say Ana's on the Beach) versus Valley Church?  Is the longer drive to Valley Church worth it?  Will have a 2 year old and 7 year old.  

 

We know we don't want Catherine's Cafe (too long car ride) or Sheers Rocks (no beach).

Also consider Turner’s Beach, slightly further by cab, but a better stay imho

I second Turners Beach. Really nice and quiet down there. Wonderful beach and views. It's worth the extra 5-10 minutes.
