The size of Burbank was humorous.

You should try Long Beach Airport next time.   Even smaller, yet nicer in a good number of ways.

Looking forward to the rest of your review.  We'll be on the Bliss at the end of August for the first week of September leg of the Alaska season.

How long a drive was it from Burbank airport to cruise port?

Pictures of Mt. Rainier were beautiful!

well to the hotel it was hour and fifteen, but the driver didn’t take the most direct route. It was 10 minutes to the cruise terminal from the hotel.

Glad you liked them!

But Alaskan Airlines doesn't fly into there anymore and neither does JetBlue. My 2 favorite airlines. Southwest has pretty much taken over Long Beach airport. We will fly Southwest if no other choice but miss first class.

Embarkation Day

Location: Los Angeles, California

We headed down to the lobby for breakfast.

Average Hotel Breakfast

We then headed back up to the room to finish packing and to relax a bit before heading to the pier.

We are watching some TV and the power went out. The whole hotel went black. We are on the 4th floor and no power means no elevator.

So we hiked down the stairs with our bags. The hotel did a manual checkout and we decided we were heading to the pier.

As we were checking in, we got notified that our bid had been accepted and were upgraded. We went from an inside to a balcony.

After lunch, it was off to the Bliss Lounge for the Shot Glass exchange!

Susan picked this one, then it got stolen from us!

We ended up with one that Andy and Sydney really liked and they had one we liked. So we made a trade after it was all done.

Here is the Shot glass we ended with after trading Andy and Sydney

We finally headed to our stateroom. We had to have our keycards rekeyed at guest services first.

Plus Susan randomly found our bags no where near our room, due to having to old stateroom number, and brought them to our stateroom.

We got changed and it was time for dinner.

The results...

Now, my only critique is put real whipped cream on the banana pudding instead of meringue. Meringue is nasty. It needed whipped cream.

Yep, as a Chemisty PHD candidate I am surprised he didn't already know that the Peridodic Symbol TE is for Tequila.

Yay, another @shadowmeboy review! Thank you so much for sharing another cruise with us. Last time we were on the Bliss out of L.A. (round-trip to Mexico) we got up early on debarkation day so that we could watch as the captain backed the ship up the channel into port. It was pretty awesome! Really looking forward to your Pride of America review as we love that ship, too, Matthew.
