Princess Plus and what you get

Can we remove the plus package if we chose it when we booked the cruise? This is the first time we'll have this on Princess since it's been a while, so we thought we try it; After reading so many posts about it, we don't think it's worth it for us for 7 nts. We also got it for our transatlantic next year. That might be a better deal since it's 16 nts.

It is actually better on a short cruise since you will only get 2 casual meals per cruise whether it is a 7 day cruise or 7 days. We

True. Kind of doesn't make sense, does it? I guess Princess must be telling us how valuable they believe their perks actually are, beyond drinks, wifi and crew appreciation.

Personally if the plus package only included drinks, WiFi and gratuities it would be still be a huge savings for us

I assume you have the Plus fare - not the separate (way overpriced) Plus drink package. It is not considered a separate package (cancellable before the cruise) - it is part of the fare subject to the same cancellation penalties as the rest of the fare. If you want to change to the basic fare (before final payment), that would be a refare which may require paying the current basic fare (not the fare at the time you booked).

Thank you for your reply. We are going to keep it for our 16 nts transatlantic, but we're going to cancel our February cruise and book a cruise on another Princess ship that has a port where we have been wanting to go.

Another question, if you don't mind.  We have not been on Princess since we made Platinum status. Does Princess do the same for Platinum members as RCI does for Diamond members that you can have a certain amount of drinks per day at no cost?

Not on Princess. You can find a list of Platinum benefits on the Princess website
