Kamfish642 Posted July 21 #1 Share Posted July 21 At the end of our Seabourn cruise last Summer, we had extra credit so I purchased a Future Cruise Deposit certificate for both my wife and myself. In reading details on the certificate, I see that Seabourn will take 5% off cruise fare in addition to applying our cruise deposit. However, does Seabourn match your future cruise deposit similar to other airlines?

I was under the impression you couldn't do this.

Did you have redeemable OBC that you used to buy the FCDs? Otherwise, non-redeemable ODCs should not be eligible for such a purchase
Kamfish642 Posted July 23 Author #6 Share Posted July 23 Sorry, I should have been clearer on the source of credit, which was a cruise credit that our kids purchased for us prior to cruise. On 7/21/2024 at 4:19 PM, galeforce9 said: No

Now it makes sense, as your credit was a redeemable one, and thus you were free to cash it out or, in your case, use it to purchase a FCD.
