Norwegian Prima AFT Penthouse cabin Deck 9 9354 or 9954

Recommended Posts

We currently have on hold an AFT Penthouse cabin on Deck 9 - 9954.  We have never cruised with NCL before and are used to Princess.  Love to know peoples thoughts on this cabin as it overlooks the cafe underneath (watched the Youtube video) and the NCL website is little unclear on the benefits you enjoy with a suite (not a Haven suite).  On Princess we have Reserve dining for breakfast and dinner but I have noticed there is only breakfast and lunch on the Prima. What about dinner and also is there a concierge lounge?  TIA it is a huge amount of money for this cruise but it is a bucket list cruise.

No concierge lounge - however the concierge is always about at breakfast and contactable throughout the day. No reserved dining in the evenings, though many complimentary and speciality options.

Yes, it does overlook some seating from the bar below but not really an issue.

happy to answer any other questions about the room 😀

Did you find it noisy or not private with the cafe below?

No noise at all. Didn’t have any issues with privacy either.

If you walk over to the edge of the balcony, folk sitting on the chairs on deck near the bar can see you if they look up. Not a problem though as the balcony is huge - so the vast majority of the space can’t be seen from below.

Thanks. Have you stayed in a Haven cabin on the ship by chance?

We have been Haven on Prima. Do you have a question?

I love a big balcony but the 14 day cruise I want to do says go haven. The cost is obviously quite a bit more so I’m trying to decide on the room with suite perks or the haven perks and smaller room/balcony. From what I’m reading the crowds can be immense. Is it that way in the haven? Did you think the added cost was well worth it? I’ve been in the haven but not on prima class.

We kind of had a unique trip.  It was a TA when new.  Our DD could go.  We paid way too much but likely an infrequent opportunity.

It was also a cold and wet trip.  Outside Haven area not usable so loss there.  Inside was generally empty except during dinner times at bar.  Haven restaurant has two sections and an outdoor area.  Never busy.  I kept thinking where was everyone?  Haven was sold out early on.  Haven food was great, we skipped some free specialties.  Menu doesn't change but we liked what was on it.

We did have lunches in mdr, poor, indulge, good but hard to find seat but Viva read they added seats, Local was good.  Buffet a joke size and food wise.

Since so many sea days we hung out in room quite a bit reading or watching movies.

I know not helping much, but if you can swing it, do it for the quiet.  Bonus this class has Haven elevators aft.
