Sailing out of Miami to the Panama Canal. Is Portside or Starboard best for this cruise. I booked the Starboard but now wondering if I should have booked Portside. This is a full transit ending in Panama City.

Welcome to Cruise Critic!

This is the most commonly asked question on this board. The "best side" answer is ....outside and topside. Staying in your cabin misses all the good stuff. You need to be on the bow for a lock or two, if your ship allows it. On the Promenade Deck for a lock or two. Outside looking around.

I researched this when I booked my PC westbound cruise and the consensus seemed to be to book a portside cabin. Not because you are going to spend the entire transit of the canal on your balcony but because of what you see from the portside throughout the entire cruise.

So that's what I booked.
