Anchorage flights - current operational issues

Just an FYI for anyone flying in/out of ANC in the next week or so.

 

DL, UA and AA have all been cancelling most, if not all of their flights in/out of ANC.  As a result, Alaska Airlines has been feeling the demand for seats.  According to my sources within AS, current booking factors for ANC are at 136% through at least the 28th of the month.  They have put on four extra 737-900 sections (178 pax) in each direction and still have major capacity issues.  The terminal is SRO, with TSA lines going out the doors.

 

Prepare for issues, regardless of your carrier.
