RD is not one of my regular goto eateries, but I want to hit it a few times next cruise. Had some questions. Is the O.J. for brunch anything special? Is the brunch bacon the regular kind or the fat/sweet kind like at dinner? How is the waffle? Finally, what fish is in the treat yourself seafood boil and is the broth peppery?

I’ve only ever ordered the free from concentrate orange juice so can’t tell you what the paid-for is like.

 

Brunch bacon is candied with pepper.

 

Waffle is thick and fluffy with delicious cherry syrup.

You can have your bacon prepared just for you if you find it too peppery.  We asked for and got it with "very light pepper."   Yes, only had the free OJ

The waffle is AMAZING as long as they haven't run out of the buckwheat flour.  On our last TA, we got a waffle that was "different," and the server explained that they had run out of the buckwheat mix.  It wasn't bad, just not as good as usual.

Seafood boil is crawfish, mussels, clams, sausage, potatoes, corn on the cob, and bread rolls. The broth is good and not what I would call spicy, just flavorful.

The Seafood Boil is on the Treat yourself menu and costs $50

The Fresh Orange Juice is also not free - it's $6

 

I can't speak for the OJ but I have had the Orange Carrot Ginger - it was fine. I believe they make big batches of the fresh juice each morning cause the server one time said "I'll have to check if they still have any" - so it's not made fresh to order.  Which is fine, it's still fresh made juice.
