I heard this fry bread was one of the things to try. The lady in the maroon shirt serving up the bread is from New Iberia Louisiana.

Looks good.  It looks like it has sugar and cinnamon.

Frank Smith is considered a hero around here. They took a collection at his funeral to build this. Of course they later found he murdered someone in Oregon. Shot a guy in the back. Said it was self defense. Paid off the judge and came up here.

I think you meant Frank Reid here.

Funny how Soapy was an outlaw, yet he has a big display in the museum.

We had a dough boy yesterday and it was pretty good. The best ice cream that we've found was Huckelberry ice cream at the Alaskan Fudge Company in Juneau.

I’m not sure how long I’ll be posting with sail away happening in a few. Jewel Wi-Fi is still down.

These bottles were found in the floorboards of this mascot saloon.

I'm guessing it was some kind of auto correct situation which caused it to be spelled like the African American Holiday but it is a Quonset Hut.

You see them all over, many business make use of them for storage or as a shop.

This is something that I’ll do another time. I didn’t know I wanted to do it until after the 10:30 show the other two were during my second excursion.

It’s the longest running show in Alaska. Soapy Smith has been getting shot here 3 times a day for 100 years.

This is the first house built in Skagway. Capt William Moore is considered the founding father. He believed in the gold rush. He came here. Built a dock. Built this house and waited. And they came. At its peak Skagway had 20,000 residents. Today it’s 900.

I guess a few weeks ago there was a Rock slide and 160 people got stuck. Around the 4th July they had to go to Haines…. 10 hour drive and the ship picked them up the next morning.

Our tour driver lives in Florida. Her and her boyfriend drive street cars here in the summer. Her second job is at this brewery.

She recommended the spruce tip beer but it doesn’t open till noon so I may not get to try it.

@Saint Greg I thought she looked like the lady that did our streetcar tour two years ago. Her BF was the driver and she was the guide. They acted some things out.  Said they lived in Ft. Meyers and did winters here in FL.  It was a decent tour.
