Free Play or Free Slot Tournament in Discovery Princess casino

Will be on Discovery Princess next month. Does the casino offer any free play and/or free slot tournaments during the cruise? On Celebrity, they give you $5 free play and hold free slot tournaments twice on a 7 day cruise.

I have never seen a free slot tournament on Princess. You may some times get a gift booklet that includes a 2 for 1 bet at table games (pay $5 bet worth $10) but that is not normal. Free play is given to those with casino status

Yes, there will be a free slot tournament and you need to earn a certain amount of points within the first two or three days to gain entry.  I was just on the Discovery last month and think it was either 1000 or 1500 points that you had to earn to get the invitation which will be delivered to your cabin.  There will be boards listing the details in the casino, hard to miss.  The Enchanted had the same thing in May.

 

As for free play, if you booked under a casino offer that specified that is included you likely won't get any.  However, they seem to be introducing new onboard promos all the time so never say never.
