Where to Book Vibe Beach Club on the NCL Bliss

Recommended Posts

We have an upcoming sailing on the NCL Bliss.  The Vibe Beach Club is sold out online, but I am advised by NCL that a few slots remain open to book on the ship.  I have called NCL numerous times, and been told four different areas I need to go to book the Vibe onboard, including Guest Services, the Vibe Beach Club itself, the Spa desk and Shore Excursion desk.  Any input on precisely where to go once on the boat to book the Vibe is greatly appreciated.  We are both Sapphire and Casino at Sea members, and should be able to get early access to the ship.  -  Steve

We found this not to be true.   Sold out really means sold out… among the first to board.

went to restaurant and was sent to front desk. They explained there were none and there never were any.  They are not sold onboard…

Maybe on your sailing there were no cancellations, so no passes were available. We’ve heard reports from pax who were unable to buy online (sold out, not avail, too early to book, etc) but did get lucky once onboard.

Keep calling, checking. Good luck.

If you find them you will be the exception to what 99% of people report. Good luck, but don’t be disappointed if you don’t get them.

All of your answers are unfortunately incorrect.    If there are passes available, then they would be sold at Teppanyaki.   We sailed this past June on the Joy and passes were available for the week we went and the week prior.    @JGmfand I had the pleasure of meeting @uktravels who was not able to buy one beforehand but was successful in obtaining one once on-board contrary to all of the non-believers beforehand.

That said, I would continuously check every day.   I am a little surprised it would be sold out for a Bliss Alaska cruise, so I think your changes are very good.    But that is just my opinion.

I can corroborate what @vacation44 and her amazing family discussed with me and
@uktravels.  He lucked-out and got a spot when he boarded.

Must have been a cancellation, as this was a Bermuda cruise in June.  We had a blast in the Vibe.  Looking to replicate that again next year!

@JGmf--just read this now and it brought a smile to my face.    After reading @YVRteacher Princess live and knowing how you switched over to Princess for the most part, Joe and I are considering a Princess cruise.    My only issue right now is not having a Vibe so we would have to book a suite, actually three if it is deemed our family vacation for the year.    Hope to cruise with you and your gang again in the future and hope all is well with you and your family.

@YVRteacher mentioned the Sanctuary to me. I think you can rent a space there by the day. Not sure they have full cruise passes. You should definitely check into that as it may be similar to Vibe.

Thank you!    I do have some research to do as this would be very important to us.

@vacation44 and @cruiseny4life just want to clarify regarding Princess.

Sorry for the late reply as just returned from med cruise on Princess yesterday.  (That international terminal at EWR is brutal).

Anyway, as you know, the Vibe is the defacto adult fun zone on NCL.

The "Sanctuary" on Princess has a (insert editorial comment) snooze-fest library kind of feel that is extra money to reserve.  It does get a lot of love from a sector of cruise passengers, but it's too quiet for me as it focuses on 'relaxing' and tea time (yes, that's a thing).

More akin to the Vibe on Princess (on Princess Royal class ships) is the "Retreat" pool and bar.  There is no fee to use this area, but it's adults only, they play music, and it has a large pool flanked by two hots tubs one deck up.  Similar to Vibe, the bar there closes around sunset, but, and this is the good part, the pool and hot tubs are accessible far into the wee hours of the night.  Princess' app allows you to order drinks and food 24/7, so even after things close around 1am, you can still get your drinks ordered to the hot tub under the stars.

While I do believe you, I don't understand... At one point you called for the first time and were told where onboard you could go to book the Vibe. Question asked, question answered. Given that you had an answer at this point, why would you call and ask the same question, not once, not twice, but at least three additional times?

The only reason I can fathom is that you didn't trust the answer you were given, and if that is true, I don't see how repeatedly asking people whose answer you don't trust the same question would resolve that issue.

Truely perplexing.

Oh, thank you!!! So, you're telling me I would absolutely love the Sanctuary! Haha - I'm an introvert (despite what my posting on Cruise Critic tells you about me). Though, I am sure I'd frequent the Retreat as well. Each place seems like it would have a different use. I have never been to an actual afternoon-style tea, but it lives on in my mind as an amazing way to spend some time, so I'd be down for "tea time."

Having said that, having drinks brought to me would be a huge benefit! I do dislike having to get up to order a drink. In fact, on the Haven Sundeck, I'll just sit in my lounger/go to the hot tub, then back to lounger for a couple hours before I decide no servers like me. Then, finally, when I'm all thirsty, hit the bar for a drink. Princess can do this for all guests. I don't know why NCL can't do it for 200.

I do appreciate you following up and I hope your time on Princess was wonderful, minus the snooze-fest!

You can do it at guest services.  On my last cruise I was at guest services and on the tv screen it said Vibe was sold out.  I already had it booked but I was able to get a cabana and I will try again on my December cruise for the same.  If you're two people it's a negligible uptick in price.  PCC I talked to last night said something about there being a Vibe waitlist, so that if there is a cancellation you can get a reservation. I am 99% sure she put me on that list but I have to double check.

Interesting, wasn’t aware there was a waitlist

No, there is not, so a correction to my statement. I called my PCC and asked did you put me on some kind of Vibe waitlist and she said no.  That what she meant she is constantly checking if there is a cancellation for the Vibe or a cabana and if so she will snag it for me.  I didn’t understand her correctly yesterday. I gotta say I like using the PCC, I never did and she is very attentive, got me a good discount on my cruise and she answers the phone knowing she is speaking to me.  Much nicer than the general number!

Lol thanks for the clarification!
Agree about the PCC, especially for the vibe.
