Cremated Remains

Has any CC had recent experience sending a loved one's cremated remains to the sea on a Princess Cruise out of Australia?  If so I would really appreciate input from you and any Princess "authority" who could liase with me on this?

 

Any info greatly appreciated.  Thank you for reading.

According to a  thread on the Princess forum, the email address I used in 2018 is still current: ashesrequest@princesscruises.com

The OP is enquiring about cremated remains (ashes), so no permit required.

Thank you @boeckli but the address you offered no longer "works".  LOL just got an email bounce-back.  Oh well, onward and upward.  I've got my Princess Cruise Planner on the job so hopefully she can come up with something. 

 

I've got the totally biodegradable "container" with official certificate, etc., already organised so fingers crossed this will happen.

Hope you can get it sorted. That email address still comes up on a search of Princess's website as well . Maybe try again a bit later when it's working hours over in the States.

NSW law says you need permission from the master of the vessel, so you can't just rock-up and do a DIY.

 

Princess will make it feel special, and as mentioned above, they do cater for it. The 2nd subject down in the FAQ also lists that email address.

I've just received an acknowledgement email from Princess so it looks like my request will go into their "system".
