GreenBayDave Posted September 10 #1 Share Posted September 10 Do we need to have a plug-in adapter to use our AC devices on the Majestic Princess? Also, is the current 110 or 220? Will we need a converter?
mtnesterz Posted September 10 #2 Share Posted September 10 (edited) Not really. In the cabin, there are US type 110v, 60 Hz A and (IIRC) a B plug or two, available. Some may find the number of these insufficient and bring a power strip, but these must not have surge protection. You will see Euro type C/F combo 230V 50Hz. Each lamp at the bedside has a USB port. Arizona Wildcat Posted September 10 #3 Share Posted September 10 Have never been on any mainstream cruise ship that did not have both 110/220V outlets. Only on a 20 passenger river boat in India did they lack both outlets. The boat in India lacked most other things too (LOL)
arizonaperson Posted September 10 #4 Share Posted September 10 (edited) Here are some photos ( Majestic Princess) from cruise deck plans.com. Of outlets. I am not sure how current, some are from 2024. Might be more outlets than shown? From another site- Does Majestic Princess have australian power outlets? There is one Australian power socket, 2 US power sockets, and 2 Continental Europe power sockets. A power strip Without surge protector is allowed- usually. look under princess.com for frequently asked questions and hopefully you’ll find what you’re looking for ,for more USA type plugs. GreenBayDave Posted September 10 Author #5 Share Posted September 10 Thank you all for your assistance. We are returning to cruising after being away for five years and we had forgotten whether we could use our familiar plug-ins. BTW even though we are in Wisconsin for the summer, we are snowbirds residing in Arizona for the winters.
