I can confirm the treats remain absolutely amazing at al bacon.

 

Gonna go knock out my mustard thingy then head to the gym while I wait on the room to open. Gotta a lot of ground to cover to be competitive this week.

They got the boom  boom going for sure. It was pleasingly quiet on the pool deck though. Four day cruise and they are trying to attract a younger party demographic with this cruise. I overheard someone saying they should turn the music down and an officer agree but when I looked it was crew. It did get turned down a little though.

I picked a machine with a bad touch screen so no games to distract me but glad it's open Carnival runs you out on boarding day...says it interrupts the gym tours 🙄

Why on earth would anyone want to tour a gym? It would be like touring a dentist’s. 😀

I definetely think my goal this week is just to get promoted to the next level. Lots of tough competition.

I dunno and I guess those who tour it don't want to see anyone actually using it. I don't want to witness a dentist in action either so I get it I suppose.

No fan yet but it's still early not going to panic.

 

In the room cooling off post workout. This is the time I would contemplate a nap but I am actually well rested for embarkation day for once. I do need to charge my phone for a few so gonna do that and get settled into the room.

Two of my favorites! I'm drooling 🤤 I dream about their lemon tarts sometimes. So good!

Not always a fan of Celebrity or Royal mattresses. They have been getting better because they have automatically provided a mattress topper but you can still tell it is a plywood board disguised as a mattress. 

 

This mattress is like a cloud. I literally sighed as I layed down. Super comfortable. Just need that fan and I think I will be set for a comfortable night's rest.

I bought a new pair of shoes to wear this cruise. I cut off the packaging and set them out this morning as I was getting ready and somehow out of habit still put on my old pair. Sometimes I think I am losing my marbles. So far it doesn't seem like I've forgotten anything important.

 

General announcements are being broadcast into the room, I hope that's not going to keep happening. 

 

On demand movies are free and I see some good choices. I chose Oppenheimer last time and that was a great movie, but a terrible choice for a movie to try and follow after a night of drinking. I think I am going to pick Garfield this time.

 I'm now Elite+ thanks to the enhanced status match with Royal. My specialty coffee is now complementary,  very nice. Think I will enjoy sail away on the promenade with a free coffee beverage.

It does with the premium drink package.  Assume an up charge on any other package.  My wife always wondered why her morning coffee from Cafe AlBacio was always so good.  I eventually let her in on the secret.

Good luck. 😁. By the way, check out the sunset bar for Champagne.  Last time I sailed on the Ascent, it was free on the sail away.
