No that's not what I meant...I think there were some upcharge items...I don't remember what they were, but it was just a turn of phrase

Got'cha -=- thanks for the clarification.

we stopped by the Specialty restaurant desk to see if it would be possible to make a reservation for lunch at any restaurant Ocean Cay day. Our only "NO".

Bummer! Would you like us to try to bring you back a lobster roll -- or two? Or anything else that strikes your fancy from the menu? It really is unfortunate that they never have those items in the YC restaurant at other times. Maybe a special order is, um, in order?

it is 9:40 am and all the pergolas are taken.

That tells me that we will never get one. Too early for us. Unless we stay up really, really late one night and can claim one before sunrise. We will "settle" for the air conditioning in TSL.

I seem to remember that the pergolas on seaside were FCFS

We were able to reserve the pergolas on Seaside at the YC Concierge Desk. We had a B2B and Raj (Concierge extraordinaire) allowed us to reserve before the new guests even boarded. When I said something about maybe not using one every day, he encouraged us to reserve them anyway, saying something like, "Why not? You can reserve every day right now."

In the very back of the ship of the MPB is the GLUTEN FREE section.

Thanks so much for this video! It looks very intriguing, but I don't think it's worth 'braving' an exit from the YC enclave. Ya think I can ask a butler to go 'fetch' me something?

(See, I'm trying, I'm really trying!)

You see, folks. There is just no limit to @Best Cat Mom niceness.

Thank you for the offer, but we prefer pizza to the lunch provided at Ocean House. Chef Lisa & Chef Sean know this and have graciously offered on OC Day to make us salads instead to get us to eat at Ocean House. But you will understand this better than others.... it too darn hot and the only three tables in airconditioning can start a fight or at very least cause resentment amongst fellow YCers and we have already had the pleasure in years past.

You must know Nithin by now...by far the best YC bartender...also shout out to Jamayla who brought our dirty martinis to dinner every night without prompt.

We have only encountered Kassandra so far. She remembered BCD from a previous voyage and bestowed a handful of car supplies on him when we first boarded and were escorted to TSL. We'll keep watch for these two now!

Met with the nicest Cruise Critic poster ever @Best Cat Mom and can tell all they are both the nicest people on the planet as well. As @no1talks decreed, the sturdiness of BCD's artistic adeptness woven with his engineering skills far out classes anything else we have ever been gifted. I made haste with it back to the cabin as our Captain Tuvo got on the public address system and intimated there was a Rolex pilferer on board and did not wish to entice another public address announcement from the Captain pertaining to this work of art that was now ours.

Grateful for your lovely comments! And, by the way, you are much nicer than you give yourself credit for. Thank you for the exchange. I think we may have come out ahead. 😉

The truth is we do not avail ourselves of shell fish or red meats any more. That does not mean I do not advocate for the return of the SEAFOOD EXTRAVAGANZA. It is just lovely to see and one can 'feed off' the joy on all the faces of one's fellow cruisers partaking in the feast.

P.S. And the Extravaganza attracts interlopers like port flies to my balcony lunch.

Are you going to reserve this week for next week?

We might try that for our 2nd week of the B2B, I was figuring out chances of getting one for the first week would be slim to none

Here is something new that I did not notice before. Except for the crickets. Those I noticed on others cruises and said they have to be a tape recording being piped.

They installed smoking and non smoking lounges outside the TSL.

As far as I know, the smoking and non-smoking areas above were always part of the 'SEA" class ships.

Yes you are correct. The difference today were the addition of the lounge cushioned deck chairs on either end. I am not always succinct.

Sitting in Le Cabaret Rouge for the beginning performance DW noticed a youngster running around the stage while the mother filmed. She recalled the frustration of four singing tenors on one of restarts after Covid, The parents were allowing their children to run amok around the stage while they were trying to perform. The lead stopped and pleaded with these derelict parents to have some regard as they haven’t worked in two years and this was their first chance at making a living and to control their children. They were called “The Harps” ‘Celtic charmers’.

It is a shame that it has come to the point where others are having to tell adults to parent their children.  Had I or even my kids tried something like that, someone would be sitting down carefully for a day or two.
