We were blessed to meet some super fun/kind guys from Indiana in the Haven who offered to share their ride to Rome with us. Score!! It wound up being only $60 euros per person. We decided to surprise them with some bubbly on the drive:

We walked around this afternoon, drank some wine and ate some good Italian food. I’m I. Heaven! Yes the Trevi Fountain is closed.

All the food and drink look so good! And boy, are those cannoli ever loaded!

So we almost missed our tour this morning due to rain and not being able to get an Uber/cab and protests. Our tour was at 10 and we called our first Uber at 8:30! Lucky the tour group waited for us. Others were running late too.

 

it was a great small Group tour of the Vatican and chapel. Amazing! 

 Kudos to “What a Life Tours” and our great guide!

Warning:

The metal grates get VERY slippery when wet. My poor DH took a spill today trying to run and catch a cab. Luckily he only had minor scrapes.

Lots of fond memories of the Epic and Italy.  Was there, sailing the Epic, this time last year.  Boy, do I need to make a reservation to go back, again.

Not sure. We saw at least 3 different ones. You can tell they are all well funded and organized.

Rooftop of the W. Expecting lots of rain tomorrow and we have the Colosseum tour booked in the early AM. Ah well, I’m not the witch who melts in the rain so we shall see.

Not sure about the protests going on now, but when researching for my trip to Italy, read that the bus drivers and subway conductors go on strike a lot.
