What you will find when you get onboard, the number of excursions offered is usually less than what was advertised. Typically that is not because they are full but because they have pulled them. I understand this is often because they could not get transport or guides

Wheelhouse Posted Wednesday at 02:37 PM #4 Share Posted Wednesday at 02:37 PM We booked four total while onboard during our B2B. One was on the turnover day and it was cancelled, most likely for a lack of interest. I went to the empty spa that day instead. A second was full, but Explora accommodated us and expanded it. The other two, one which was a replacement for the cancelled excursion, were fine. They were the typical cruise ship tours, though I did quite enjoy the one I took solo on Virgin Gorda. I expect this Caribbean season's bookings to be heavier than this current Med's so maybe availability could become an issue for some of the more popular excursions. Plus, for some bookings there was a lot of non-refundable OBC handed out.

Which one did you take in Virgin Gorda? We stop there in December.

I believe it was "Hike to Virgin Gorda's Breathtaking Baths." You could easily do the Baths on your own with a short taxi ride from the ship, but we took a colorful open air minibus around the whole island prior to the visit. The guide and driver were very entertaining. Plus the guide led us on the best route through the Baths.
