Questions about our cruise... 3kids

Recommended Posts

We are taking 3 kids on a cruise in a few months and had a couple of questions..... there ages are 4, 10, 14

1. There good kids but don't like dressing up, so I assume they will be alright with a nice pair of jeans and a ironed t-shirt in the dining room on formal nights (since they are only kids)?

2. I know the ages limits for the kids club is 9-11, 12-14 but the 10 year old REALLY wants to hang out with his 14 year old brother in the teen lounge, this will be ok right?

3. Will be staying the the suite and planning the bring our friends (3 familys of four) into the conceirge lounge. Wanted to know how many keys to get for all of them?

4. Am planning on eating at Portifinos, can't really leave the 4 year old alone. Just wanted to know if they can provide a high-chair for him. I know it says the age minimum is 12 but he is a REALLY well behaved kid. (Even though at the best of times evreyone can through a tantrum)

5. How would I go about sneaking jewlrey past customs? Since we will probally be going over the limit

6. When in Jamica we are planning on letting the 10 year old spend some time exploring the Island by himself (he is really looking foward to this!) What sights should he see?

Thats it for now!

Thanks for your help!

I think you should also have your kids smuggle the booze on in their carry-on bags. That way you won't have to worry about having them check out your bag and who would ever think that kids would bring on booze?

Hey they are kids, shorts would be fine too!

2. I know the ages limits for the kids club is 9-11, 12-14 but the 10 year old REALLY wants to hang out with his 14 year old brother in the teen lounge, this will be ok right?

Sorry, but that´s not OK as the 14 year old and the ten year old will be 24 together they have to hang out in the casino!

3. Will be staying the the suite and planning the bring our friends (3 familys of four) into the conceirge lounge. Wanted to know how many keys to get for all of them?

But only if all the kids join you there too!

4. Am planning on eating at Portifinos, can't really leave the 4 year old alone. Just wanted to know if they can provide a high-chair for him. I know it says the age minimum is 12 but he is a REALLY well behaved kid. (Even though at the best of times evreyone can through a tantrum)

And make sure the chef will prepare a special kids menu for him.

5. How would I go about sneaking jewlrey past customs? Since we will probally be going over the limit

Ask your kids to take it through customs.

6. When in Jamica we are planning on letting the 10 year old spend some time exploring the Island by himself (he is really looking foward to this!) What sights should he see?

Sorry I haven´t been there, so can´t help with this question. But tell hm not to woory about sailing time the ship always waits for 10 year olds coming in late from one of the bars.

Thats it for now!

Thanks for your help!

My 8 month old was actually frisked for contraband before we boarded the Granduer a few weeks ago. That was a hoot!

Geez Dawn,

Guess I can't get my 9 mo old grand to sneak my scotch on huh? That is too funny.

I am sure that Captain Speaking would LOVE to host you and your darling children at his table during second seating!

Mom, you are so right! Captain Speaking would love to have them at his table, perhaps they could watch Scooby Doo together ;) :D

You could have the darlings play the game of taking all of the towels off the pool chairs, throwing them overboard, and then try to hit those "targets" with the books that they find. Then you could have them play the "how many buttons on the elevators can we push" game. That would be so much fun for them.

Well, I was going to agree with cruisinmama06, that acquiring a nice supply of ganja would be one activity for the little bugger, but apparently RC is going to ban smoking on all of it ships, according to Cruisinfanatic: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=324246
