zydecocruiser Posted April 12, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted April 12, 2006 People seem to like to take pictures of this house One of the guides - wish I could remember his name - he turned out to be a hero! Later, when we went through the rocks a different group was coming from the opposite direction. When one of that party fell down a ladder our guide flew over to break his fall - getting pretty well squished in the process. I'm sure our guide was to some extent hurt, but never let it interfere with him doing his job. Meanwhile, I'm not sure I have ever seen a less grateful person than the one the fell. At least some others in both groups appreciated the effortsof our guide. I guess that's all I'm going to say about that. Approaching Devils Bay - we were the only ones here - but not for long... Patouche got us there in time, just some of us piddled too long. Of course, yielding does sometimes have its advantages!

zydecocruiser Posted April 15, 2006 Author #23 Share Posted April 15, 2006 Thank you. On this trip, an ancient Canon S230 with waterproof case. The waterproof case for my primary camera, a Canon S1 IS, had a small crack and leaked, as I discovered in St Thomas.
Zeno Posted April 15, 2006 #24 Share Posted April 15, 2006 great photos! It looks like you had wonderful snorkeling conditions! The last time we were there, it was too rough for me to snorkel at Devil's Bay. My husband went in and said that it was somewhat churned up. I envy you terribly. Pyrate13 Posted April 15, 2006 #25 Share Posted April 15, 2006 Some great photos. Great to see Joe and Julie again. Your "hero" guide looks like Shane, did he get his snake tattoo yet? :D The cat named Shamwari was originally named Patouche back when Frenchie and Claudia were the owners. One of the fastest sailing cats in the BVI. Sure am going to miss being down there this year.:(
