Boston Pier Question

If anyone could tell me what pier the Jewel leaves from in Boston, MA.?

 

Also, any suggestions of hotels that might be nearby that are safe, decent, etc.

All cruise ships departing from Boston, dock at the Black Falcon Pier in the Marine Industrial Park in South Boston. Boston has a large number of good hotels in all price ranges. Since the Jewel will be sailing during the Fall, hotel prices can be quite expensive ($200 a night and more), however I know of some folks who used Priceline and were able to book a classic hotel in a good downtown Boston location for $85 a night. Check out the websites of the major hotel chains (Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt) to see if any are offering special rates for the time you will be here. If you have questions about any specific hotels, someone on this board will be more than happy to answer them for you. You should also sign up for the M&M and sign on to the thread for your particular cruise. People on that thread will be even better equipped to answer your questions. Enjoy the Jewel. It is one of our favorites and, as you can see, we are due to sail on her again when she repositions from Boston to Ft. Lauderdale next October.:)
